Hello everyone! This is such a busy time of year. I have to be careful to not let creativity take a back seat when my to-do list needs attention. Here’s a page I’ve been working on recently.
I used Pan Pastels to create the background. Collage is the next layer and the ink layer came last, including the tree which I created. I’d love to know what you think – please leave a comment below!
Love your creations! Do you have the idea before you start or do you start with one element (visual?) and then create around it? Always such an interesting result.
Hi Nancy! Thanks for leaving a comment. In answer to your question, my inspiration comes from the collage elements which I then create around. Sometimes it takes a long time for me to find the right combination of collage pieces since they all come from different places. For example, for a long time there was only the image of that central figure on my art journal page. Only when I have the gut feeling that the collage phase is complete do I begin “working” on the page.
Love the dream like quality you got here, there’s something entrancing about that eye staring out!
Thanks so much!
