I admit it. I am an art supply junkie. Linda knows what I’m talking about (I LOVE Linda!). And while I love getting new supplies, I don’t like to pay full price. I bet you don’t, either. Because any money you save can just go towards more art supplies, am I right? Love that! I want to share with you some premium art supplies I’ve scored over the last few weeks that I am so glad I found at bargain prices! Happy shopping!

Hello everyone!
My first post as a Guest Designer with Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® is now live! It also features my first art tutorial video, a fun 11 minutes if I do say so myself. It’s a day of firsts! Here’s a sneak peek at my Bride of Frankenstein halloween themed project:
Head on over to Design Memory Craft to see the full post. The video will play on my youtube channel. I’d love your “thumbs up” and comments on my video! And, of course, you can always subscribe so you don’t miss future videos, wink!

Do you know Flow magazine? Flow hails from the Netherlands and has a really positive, happy vibe. Flow’s manifesto: “Flow is all about positive psychology, mindfulness, creativity and the beauty of imperfection. We love illustrations and in each issue there is a gift made of our much-loved paper.” In fact, for an additional sensory experience Flow actually contains several different kinds of paper in each issue. For those of use who still love turning real pages, this magazine is a delight to touch.
Yes, I admit it. I splurged and bought myself their latest issue. At $22 it’s the equivalent of purchasing a book. But their tagline, “A Magazine For Paper Lovers” called to me. I’m a paper lover. Ergo… Must. Have. Now, my dirty little secret is that I loooooooove to cut up magazines. Believe you me, there are so many wonderful things to snip! But to do so would be to mar Flow’s beauty and I’m not sure I’m ready to do that yet. I am seriously considering ordering some back issues. I ask you, could you resist these covers??
As you can guess from the gorgeous covers, Flow is filled with beautiful illustrations in a variety of styles that inspire as much as the articles illuminate. If the artist in you is ever in need of some inspiration or, if you just feel like curling up on the sofa with a hot tea and a good read, I encourage you to look for Flow at your local bookstore. It’s worth every penny! Do you have any favourite magazines that inspire the artist in you? I’d love to learn about them… please leave me a comment below!
It’s such a treat to receive snail mail these days. Not bills, but other more personal missives. Look at this package I received from Teesha Moore’s Etsy shop:
Seeing all that pretty washi tape peeking out of my mailbox filled me with happiness. So lovely! Inside were art journalling magazines featuring lots of Teesha’s art, some collage sheets and a set of Teesha’s discontinued rubber stamps.
And even a little surprise:
Teesha Moore has a brand new website. I absolutely love her art and have a feeling you will too, if you haven’t discovered her already!
There is some wonderful global representation in the Guest Design Team that Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® has selected this season, including designers from Korea, Russia, and India. What a wonderfully diverse selection of creativity! I’ve compiled their blogs here in a handy list so you, too, can be inspired by their amazing work and look forward to all the art and craft projects coming your way!

and Me!
I’ve started another art journal – a 5×8 Moleskine Sketchbook. I LOVE the thicker paper! No issues with using a wet brush on the Inktense pencils. It’s a smaller size than my normal 8×10 handmade journal. It’s a little easier to fill the page, but now there’s waaay more pages to fill! I’ve got a few pages in the works, but here’s one I just finished and wanted to share. I really like how the Pan Pastels soften everything. And that frog is just so dapper, don’t you think?
